Applications

• Pigment improves paper smoothness, brightness ,opacity and ink absorption.
• It is used as Pigment in the Coating application and as filler in the wet end application.
• Carbonate may be PCC or GCC.
• PCC used for wet end application due to its less abbrassive particles,high bulky and high brightness characteristics.
• GCC is widely used in the coating application because of its lower cost and low viscosity(better rheology) characteristics.
• The particle size  decides the suitability of the product for pre-coating or top-coating application.
• The Calcium carbonate in the powder form need to be re-dispersed with the help of dispersing agent.
